Make Money Through Freelance Writing

posted on: October 18th, 2007

Text Link AdsChrisblogging is a freelance writer who makes a steady income of roughly $4,000 - $6,000 a month. Chris has given great tips on where you can actually apply it in a practical manner.

Even though he does make a good income through freelance writing he also states that he will sometimes hit a blank and dwell on his other projects to keep him pre-occupied.

In this recent year, Chris is spending less time freelancing and more time creating projects to try make more money. He hopes to generate thousands of dollars with his other ventures. I hope he can unveil his other projects soon.

Chris has grown quite rapidly in the blogging world and I would pay him a visit if you are interested in making money through freelance writing.

“From my experience, this ranges from $0 to $9,000/month. I usually find my freelance writing income in the middle of that range. But remember, I am not the only full-time freelance writer. There are many who put my income to shame!” - Chris states.

There are many other freelancer writers that do make loads of money, however Chris is a personable guy and he is gaining some success and publicity. Live the dream!

Blog Years

posted on: October 17th, 2007

Just like how a dog lives 7 years in a normal human year, a blogger experiences life at a faster rate. From my personal experiences, bloggers will come out blazing trying to make money online like sprinting in a marathon race. They often get burnt out after 3 months. So in blog years, an average newbie blogger will usually phase out after 3 months.

Here are some reasons why bloggers stop blogging

  1. I don’t have enough time
  2. I can’t make money
  3. I can’t write like I use to
  4. I have a better idea
  5. I want to live normal again

1. Not enough time
Blogging can take an extensive amount of time. Not only to actually write about a certain topic but you need to be constantly reading other bloggers’ sites to keep a well informed mind.

2. I can’t make money
Not all bloggers will make money online. Most bloggers will try to make money and phase out after they realized that it takes a long time to be successful. Most can be successful with making enough to have a nice getaway each month.

3. I can’t write like I use to
Content is key to all blogs and sometimes the lack of ideas can be determental. When you are drawing a blank you might want to absorb other news, such as TV, Magazines, other blogs to spark an idea for a post. Sometimes you might feel that you started your blog with a wrong niche and decide to change. You’re afraid you’re going to loose all the time spent, however think of the time you will save.

4. I have a better idea
Ideas run rampant in my head. Sometimes you just need to write things down and stick to a plan. Do not deviate from the plan.

5. I want to live normal again
It’s so hard to leave the blogosphere, because something in the back of your mind tells you that this is the next big phenomenon and I need to be a part of it. Well you’re right! It’s a hard trek up ahead but most bloggers that are 4 months in the game are seen as veterans. So stick it out for 4-5 months before you decide this, you’ll have newbie bloggers asking you for advice.

BLOG for 5 months and you will start to see some success

Here is a Sneak Peek at the Speakers from Blog World Expo in Las Vegas. As said in my previous post we are going to Las Vegas November 8th and 9th. We have finalized our deposit for the booth and we are going to come blazing. My PR reps are brainstorming ways right now to present our booth in a different way from conventional setups. Being that this is the first Blogging Expo of this magnitude, we want to make our 1st impression memorable.

We have a 10 x 20 booth and we are near the front of the Expo across from Microsoft. The movie is going full steam and I’m meeting up with some potential business partners to write out the business plan. This idea of creating a movie started while I was reading the 4 Hour Workweek. The book as inspired me to live the dream and think big.  Come meet other big bloggers by going to Blog World Expo, it’s the must go to event of the year.   The revolution starts now, you might want to come this year so that next you will be a veteran, instead of a newbie with all the 2008 newbie bloggers.

If you are going to the Expo, please stop by our booth and let me know you’re coming. If you have not signed up, do so now by clicking this button.

We can celebrate and rejoice the efforts of our former Vice-resident Al Gore. He has been on a mission to change the course of this man made climate change. In his documentary An Inconivent Truth, he outlines the dramatic changes that have occured in recent decades.

His efforts to spread aware-ness has shed light to the public about how great this cause really is. He often restates that, “This is not a political issue as it is a planetary issue.”

The earth is our home, so lets take care of it. Scientific facts are there to support his views. Everyone has a chance to make a positive difference on this earth. Let’s be on the social path to let our future generations enjoy this beauty as well.

“I am deeply honored to receive the Nobel Peace Prize,” Gore said in a statement. “We face a true planetary emergency. The climate crisis is not a political issue, it is a moral and spiritual challenge to all of humanity.”

Gore won an Academy Award this year for his film “An Inconvenient Truth,” a documentary on global warming, and had been widely expected to win the prize.

New Design

posted on: October 11th, 2007

The new design is up and I will do a follow up post about why I chose to customize my design.  It was done by no other, Nate Whitehill from Unique Blog Designs.  Things are progressing forward in full speed.  How do you like it?

Teaser

I was up until 2am on Wednesday night with Paper Plane Productions (my film crew).  We were currently sketching the layout of the teaser.  We have a pretty good idea as to how we want to showcase this commercial. Stay tuned for that.

Film Production

This is such a long process.  You have to deal with so many variables and people.  It’s mostly the scheduling.  Let’s face it everyone is busy with their own lives and projects that they’ve got going on.  While producing a documentary with so many other people involved around the world, I realized it all comes down to planning.

Planning

You can never be prepared for everything. However preparations comes down to delegating responsibilities and doing your due diligence in research.  With delegation you need to form a strong team of individuals you can rely on.  I’m fortunate enough to have met some key people in my life to make this documentary possible.

Networking

The biggest resource is at your fingertips.  With the growing success of meeting people through blogging. I urge you to make friend in different fields.  It helps to have a little expert in a different field.  These lifelines of resource will give you an surreal amount of knowledge through just one degree of separation.

Blogging is changing the way we consume information

posted on: October 9th, 2007

One of the most influential books I’ve read would have to be the 4 Hour Workweek by Tim Ferriss. He truly is an inspiration. I want to follow my dream and showcase to the world that Blogging is force that needs to be recognized as the new standard.

Blogging in the News

Buzz on the Blogs| NewburyPort, MA
NewburyPortNews.com writes about the changes of the this phenomenon.

“I think blogging is radically changing how people get news,” Eaton said in a phone interview. “So I’ll be interested in how it all evolves. I think it is having a national impact, certainly. It will be interesting to see what kind of impact it has locally.”

Web 2.0

In this world of Web 2.0, the evolution of ideas moves at an increasing rate. The process of communication and ideas do not get shuffled from one News article to another within a matter of days. Blogs are updated on a daily basis and sometimes they are updated more than once a day. This ease of updating a blog post makes the exchange of one idea to another increase dramatically. You are no longer dealing with the a set amount of corporate media giants to feed the news. You are now dealing with an army of bloggers who are at the front lines of communication for the new media. This process of intermixing ideas and opinions will only increase. There will be a time when print media may cease to exist. For now, let’s ride this wave together.

Master vs. Master

Master

Shoemoney is in a league of his own. His check for $132,994.97 from Google is enough to make anyone squint their eyes and do a double take. The guy that always sheds light to new ideas. I love his short simplistic approach. Feed the need. Shoemoney has the most up to date information on internet news. He is currently having a contest with John Chow to see who can gain the most readers.  Good luck to you Jeremy.
