Finally computer free of the Microsoft operating system is now in mass production catered toward no other than the growing gentle giant - Google. 

I’m not sure if I’m happy or sad.  Well for one you finally have a competitor able to take on Microsoft.  But I feel like Google is actually taking over everything they can get their hands on.  Even though it’s not made by Google, it offers something different.

Google knows that they want to be the #1 search engine on the market and stay there for good.  What better way to stay on top than to offer a cheap way for everyone to use their new GOS.  Google has moved toward a dependency phase, where everything related in the web will want to be associated with Google.  This tactic move will trump all other search engines forever.

New versions of Linux and inexpensive hardware like the new Everex gPC TC2502 make that tax avoidable.

This computer has a 1.5-gigahertz Via processor, 512 megabytes of memory and an 80-gigabyte hard drive. What makes it stand out, however, is GOS, a version of Linux specially made to run Google applications like GMail and Google Documents. It also runs OpenOffice, an open-source office suite that can handle Microsoft Word documents, and some multimedia applications.

It’s official, Mark Cuban will at BlogWorld Expo (BWE) in Las Vegas. Rick the CEO from BWE has confirmed it.

Blogging has come a long way in recent years. From personal use to a huge demand in the market place. The blogging industry is currently a at an approximate 0.015 percent of the job market from a little over 0.001 percent in February 2005. This industry is creating more content for the web at an exponential rate, because you are not dealing with a sole company that can generate professional valuable content. However, you are dealing with over 120,000 blogs that are created each day.

With 120,000 different views and opinions, one blog alone is not valuable. The power of numbers dictate what is valuable, through related links. Blogs are generally updated 4-7 times a week. All new content all new opinions.

It’s amazing to think that in a few years with this rate of growth has not even its jump in the S-Curve. The coming years are going to be an interesting journey for the pioneers of this blogging front.

A driving force in the market is emerging.  With the new rise of blogs becoming a source of information.  Stay at home moms are using the blogs as a medium to form a community between like minded mothers.

One of the most popular mom blogs is dooce.com who gained her claim to fame from being fired at work for blogging about the company (if you remember that story in the news).

An important person in the mommy blog market is Wendy Piersall from emomsathome. She has created a whole empire for moms to create a source of income.  Her how-to guide to using the internet to make money from a mom’s perspective is an easy sell for all the stay at home moms who want to be productive.  Her site also gives tips for moms regarding activities, parenting and craft ideas.

Kimchi Mamas is a delightful blog about Korean mothers from -Nina, Twizzle, Irène, Linda, Delia, Weigook Saram, and Stefania.  It’s a little group of bloggers giving their insights on everything.  So have a cold beer and enjoy they say.

Demand

The demand is there.  It’s going to be a matter of time until the supply will meet the demand.  There is a huge potential for this market.  We shall see who can capitalize in this market in the coming year.

Living in Orange County, California can be a great place for weather, however we have 2 natural disasters that hit us every other year or so. Southern California has earthquakes and wildfires. These past few days have been troublesome for many Southern California homeowners. Currently there are 14 fires, at which most of the causes are unknown. My home in Orange County is safe, however I can see the fires and smoke along the freeway. The smell of ash in the air gives you a sense of insecurity as the sky is covered in this brown musky haze. But living through many fires in Southern California, I know that everything will be okay in a few days.

So, how does it become so dangerous?

California has always been known to have dry brush and small fires. With the growing population, California home builders set new locations building homes in regions closer to these areas. These new homes stop the natural flow of water, they are like grids that will lock up the irrigation of rain. So these dry areas become even more dry. This build up of dry brush become an abundant source of fuel to burn when the winds are high on a hot day.

Safety

A few of my friends have had to evacuate from San Diego, packing their documents, pictures, and priceless items. I hope everyone will be safe during these fires. Let’s pray for everyones safety.

One on hand CEO’s that blog are giving an open window for employees to criticize what is wrong. One the other hand this is the fastest way to improve work flow and unity within a company.

China’s population trumps all other nations. With the potential boom that China will see in the future, it’s inevitable that blogging will be a part of Chinese revolution to become a powerhouse nation. Can you imagine with their shear numbers how much content will be pumped out on a daily basis??

Virtual real estate, or the world wide web of domains, is infinite.  However a domain name such as asdfasdfasdf.com might not be desired.  Yes virtual real estate is infinite with it’s many possible domain names just like how you can find uninhabital terrains all over the world.  Some domains have been part of the English language.

It all comes down to Location, Location, Location.  In terms of the net, for first impressions you have one common denominator to differentiate yourself and that’s the little spaces between www dot and dot com. 

Prime Domains

There is a scarcity of short domain names, for the pure fact that people just gobble them all up to put their Google Ads.  It seems as though they are farming these domains and harvesting small profits off each one every year.  They spend a few bucks for the name and hosting while trying to milk it through content related subject off of one post. 

Owning your own domain

This will be the standard in the coming years.  If you haven’t done so please go get one that is unique and simple.  You might just want to buy your name domain name as well if it is available.
