Yes, Google does have guidelines. You can click here for the full page from Google.
- Avoid hidden text or hidden links.
- Don’t use cloaking or sneaky redirects.
- Don’t send automated queries to Google.
- Don’t load pages with irrelevant keywords.
- Don’t create multiple pages, subdomains, or domains with substantially duplicate content.
- Don’t create pages that install viruses, trojans, or other badware.
- Avoid “doorway” pages created just for search engines, or other “cookie cutter” approaches such as affiliate programs with little or no original content.
- If your site participates in an affiliate program, make sure that your site adds value. Provide unique and relevant content that gives users a reason to visit your site first.
Problogger notes to forget about Page Rank and just build a better blog. Seems like everyone’s been bugging him for the inside scoop that he doesn’t have; everyone would like to post their new page rank score to be able to sell more ads. PR usually gets updated every 3 months and they are way behind, but it’s ok everyone, just keep on blogging.
You can use iwebtool to get a PR prediction. Right now Blogging The Movie has a PR 5 with at 70% accuracy. I would not take this prediction seriously however you can have a little fun by testing it out yourself.

A free car giveaway will be made possible by the 500 sponsors. The car sponsorships are limited to only 500 bloggers/companies and I’m pushing to sell all of them this year. The $100 sponsorship spot will pay for publicity and here is the breakdown:
[1] two 200 word min reviews
[2] your domain name on two Scion tC’s
[3] permanent link of Blogging the Movie.com/Car
[4] be part of the 1st FREE car giveaway in blogging history
[5] publicity from the media hype that the movie will generateThe reviews will start October 1st.
For complete details check out the Car page.
Thank you for being patient. I wanted to make sure that the sponsors get the maximum exposure and October will have a dramatic increase in traffic as the Marketing Campaign will be released. The order of the reviews will go in the sequence of the purchase order. Once the 1st set of reviews have been completed I will loop back and start over and start the 2nd set.  It’s a great investment for $100.Â

My good friend here Enkay came up with a pretty sneaky bastard plan. I remember John Chow commenting on making a top female blogger list after the top money maker list came out from 45n5. Enkay has created the top female blogger list. Hmmm. I wonder why topfemalebloggers.com is not taken? It’s available. Go to GoDaddy now. Sorry someone just bought it, any guess to who that could be? =). Here is a picture of his list.

The list goes until 50. But I do enjoy his top 16. You know what this movie needs a female blogger, a top female blogger. So here’s my linky love to the sweet 16, who wants to be in the movie??? Dooce | E-moms At Home | The Thinking Blog | Liz Strauss | MsDanielle | BlogGrrl | Life In The Fast Lane |Daily Web Ideas | About Weblogs | Essential Key Strokes | Rich Minx | Christy’s Coffee Break | BlueJar | Sam Breadstone | Amalah | Susan Suarez
Enkay’s Description of the top 50 female bloggers
Top 50 Female Bloggers
This is the Official Top 50 Female blogger List in the Blogosphere. It is one of the first lists dedicated only to female bloggers showcasing their contribution to the blogging world. If you are a female blogger and would like to be featured on this list, then please send me an email at enkayblog (at) gmail (dot) com or you can email me by clicking here.
If you were part of the top 16 and would like to be showcased in the movie, please comment here and I will respond to your request. Thank you.

Branding is such a strong subject on web logs. I had a really good conversation with Nate Whitehill. After a discussion about branding a blog, we threw out some ideas about colors and our focus of branding. I felt that the the red and yellow theme was great because it would stand out in a crowd, yet the color are reminiscent of Mc Donald’s. Which I wanted because I wanted this site to be brandable to the larger audience of potential bloggers. However I might have miscalculated with potential bloggers and long time readers. So I had to rethink the scheme of the colors. The conclusion is to go with a nicer tone.
Blue is the way GO! Blue evokes trust and I want to be able to create a large fan base. After I googled blog design colors, I came across this cool site Design Meltdown, that talks about the Top 20 most popular blog colors. This site highlights blogs like Engadget, TechCrunch and Gizmodo. It appears the blue theme is pretty popular.
Maybe this is why Hotmail, Gmail, Wordpress is blue. Get ready, this site is about to undergo some changes. I know its soon, but I’m a person of action and lets make it happen

Introduction
I remember while going to school at UCSB I came across DIY websites. Blogging was introducing to me in 1999 with www.homestead.com. They had a great tool for beginners to customize a site with web logs and photos. You could have a site called homestead.mysite.com. All the options on the page were customizable just like an adobe photoshop file. However, the downfall was that you had to create and edit each page.
Coding
Then I found some serious bloggers like Crooked-Halo.org which is no longer running. However I realized that these hardcore bloggers were doing straight up coding. I was quite shocked at the point that they learned all this html coding just to do a web log. These sites were all personal blogs. After a year of trying to code, I gave up. I grew up with a business mind, and I didn’t have the time to learn all the code.
Xanga
Then along came the simplicity of Xanga. I soon hopped on to this new format of templates. It was great way to actually have a blog site that others could easily make connections with each other. There is also blogspot, however I never actually used blogspot. Xanga was great because the idea of the personal blogger came to life.
Friendster and Myspace
The friendster and Myspace era killed all content. Now it was not about writing beneficial information. It was about making connections and marketing for the sake of marketing. Which was a genius idea to stay connected.
Wordpress
After reading clothing blogs like hypebeast and highsnobiety, I knew that blogging had created a quantum leap. If you could grab hold of a niche market you were in with the masses. I came across Wordpress in 2007, as a later bloomer in the game, I am here to push blogging to the next level with the this movie. I hope the this movie will grab the attention of potential bloggers who have no yet seen the simplicity of a medium that can give voice to anyone who has the time and drive.

The dream team of the 10 bloggers for the film is 7/10 assembled. I will do a release sometime within 2 weeks. I need time to do a little bio about all the bloggers I intended to film. There are currently 2 spots left that I’m currently try to find right now. The last 10th spot is reserved for one lucky newbie blogger, you can check the casting page to be part of the movie. The other 9 will be seasoned veterans to bloggers that have made an impact in the blogosphere in a short amount of time.

Here is a rough draft of the T shirt design for the 1st run. On the front we will have our branding colors of red and yellow. This will be a sure head stopper at conventions. The branded red shirt will stand out from the sea of plain white tees.

On the back of the shirt we are giving away an added bonus to all our sponsors. If you purchase a car sponsorship by 10/20/07 we will put your domain name back of the t-shirt to publicize your site for exposure.
